The Yuan Clinic
The Yuan Clinic was founded in 2000 by John Tindall, the internationally renowned acupuncturist and herbal medicine practitioner. The clinic is an evolution of the Gateway Clinic, a unique Chinese Medicine unit with the UK National Health Service which John founded and formerly directed.
Drawing upon ancient wisdom, modern medical technology and in-depth experience of prevalent health problems the clinic aims to deliver the highest possible quality of healthcare in a friendly, informal setting. Our approach is non-judgmental, supportive, flexible and respectful of clients’ belief systems.
John Tindall specialises in the support of clients with Hepatitis C. Other clients that we support include clients with HIV, addiction, mental health problems, chronic fatigue, PMS/menstrual problems and post-natal conditions and general health problems. John has many clients with cancer, who he helps support through and after cancer treatment. Consultations normally consist of an individually tailored programme of full body acupuncture and prescribed herbal medicine. Ear acupuncture is also available at specific times.
The holistic approach promoted at the Yuan Clinic also aims to empower clients and raise their ability to deal with their own health problems. Many clients adopt lifestyle changes and take up various healing practices through the encouragement they receive at the clinic.
