Clinical Supervision
Level
I: Detoxification Programme
The 2 day workshop must be followed by supervised clinical follow-up. This clinical
follow-up can be arranged with a supervisor in your area, or you may need to
travel to work with the nearest available supervisor.
The potential ear acupuncture practitioner needs to complete approximately 50 clinically supervised treatments and pass a final assessment by the supervisor before they can receive certification. The most crucial training issues are: the trainee practices safely according to strict Health and Safety guidelines; their attitude is open and non-judgmental; they can uphold and maintain the code of ethics and protocol of practice.
The course trains and qualifies healthcare workers to practice auricular acupuncture for detoxification and not other therapies. Qualified practitioners may join the Ear Acupuncture Register (EAR) which will be made available to the Insurance Company and published on the Yuan Clinic and Traditional Medicine College website. Members will receive continual support and guidance on request. This will help healthcare workers to give useful information on natural healthcare which clients can choose to use.
Level
II: Recovery/Liver Wellness
Following the Level II Workshop, practitioners are required to learn and practice
the set formulae of point locations in their own time. When they feel ready,
they should contact a supervisor to arrange their final assessment. Practitioners
who pass the assessment will receive certification through the Yuan Traditional
Medicine College and their qualification will be recorded with the EAR and published
on the yuantmc website.
Level
III: Body Balance
Same procedure as for Level II.
