New 5 module system

New 5 module system: Auricular, Scalp, Hand, Facial and Foot Acupuncture : Including new 4 day Auricular Acupuncture course!!

Microsystems Acupuncture Courses

A perfect blend of ancient practices and modern theory in the application of helpful and easily learnt ‘healing’ arts.

Each level of training will include not only acupuncture, but also the massage and acupressure essential for each system.

Auricular Acupuncture 4 Day Workshop

This new and revised foundation workshop provides comprehensive training in the essential skills and techniques to administer ear acupuncture relevant for detoxification, recovery and maintenance of wellbeing.

The course covers approximately 40 Auricular Acupuncture points.

The course entails both theory and practical experience from a Traditional Chinese Medicine perspective, Western anatomy, physiology and medical understanding relevant to the level of practice of ear acupuncture.

Participants are guided through the strict codes of health and safety to ensure protection of themselves and the public.

There is ongoing supervision, support and regular practice groups. The practice groups provide a wonderful forum for personal development of professional skills, and networking with other practitioners. The due diligence of study codes of practice and conduct are continuously reassessed, revised and improvements implemented.

Students are also able to access more advanced modules, such as pain management, mental health, elderly care.

Scalp Acupuncture

This particular system of acupuncture draws on the major theories of modern anatomy and physiology with respect to brain function and neurological responses, holographic body systems and Ancient Oriental concepts.

The development of this form of treatment has moved forward extensively since the 1970s in China and Japan, and has gained very favourable outcomes in emotional health issues, pain management and nervous system disorders.

The weekend is open to ear and body acupuncturists. The workshop will provide space to comprehensively cover the holographic map of the body on the scalp, the needle techniques necessary to apply this particular system, and the most essential points/areas to master.

Scalp acupuncture is a simple and safe adjunct to many other forms of treatment. It is particularly effective in neurological conditions and mental health issues. You will also learn of ‘obscure’ points which can make the difference in very difficult cases.

Hand Acupuncture

A uniquely compact system that is particularly used in Korea and throughout Asia in pain management and to improve vital functions of the body.

This 2 day workshop is open to ear acupuncturists and body acupuncturists. The techniques are simple, safe, effective and efficient.

In this weekend you will learn the layout of the hand as a hologram and the essential points necessary to utilise this form of acupuncture in a practical way. Hand acupuncture may be used to augment the effects of other treatments and/or stand alone as a therapy for a wide variety of health issues.

It is a useful tool to apply in busy ‘sit down’ auricular acupuncture clinics such as drug & alcohol programmes and also for ‘one to one’ settings where one has the space and time for more detailed work. In the weekend you will also learn of lesser known uses of hand acupuncture which your client base may require.

Date: 10th and 11th March 2012 – Yuan Centre, Colliers Wood

Facial Acupuncture

This weekend workshop is open to ear and body acupuncturists. The techniques are simple, safe, effective and efficient.

Particular emphasis is placed on the practice of the specific needle techniques required and working with the individual needs of the client.

The facial acupuncture course includes training in the Traditional System, New Face System, combinations for pain management, Cosmetic Facial Acupuncture, Emotional release work, and other facial systems.

Date: 18th and 19th February 2012 – Yuan Centre, Colliers Wood

Foot Acupuncture

This system draws on the ‘powerful’ effects of Chinese Foot Acupuncture, and the Ancient Egyptian Practice of Reflexology.

In clinical practice, the use of Foot Acupuncture demands particularly well polished technique and handling skills. For this reason, it is the final Micro System to be taught in the Yuan College, as the student practitioners are ready to complete this level of training and practice, having completed the other micro systems first.

The workshop continues the detailed description and teaching of ‘micro systems’ acupuncture. It is open to body and auricular acupuncturists.

You will learn the holographic picture of the body superimposed on the foot, and the most practical points commonly used. Particularly careful and close supervision will be given to the needle techniques applied, as this is a sensitive body area to administer acupuncture.

This system can be used in conjunction with other applications of acupuncture, and may also be used on its own in many different conditions. The more rare uses of different points will also be taught for those occasions when all else has failed.

Date: 7th and 8th April 2012, Yuan Centre, Colliers Wood

Supervision

The Yuan Traditional Medicine College provides on-going supervision for all micro system modules, and there are regular clinical practice sessions to further fine tune the techniques learnt and refine ones skills, knowledge and understanding.

The practice groups provide a wonderful forum for personal development of professional skills, and networking with other practitioners.
