Qi Gong

animated Qi Gong gifQi Gong is an ancient Chinese system of healing using exercise, breathing techniques, sound and meditation. It may be translated as ‘energy practice’ or ‘energy cultivation’. Throughout its history Qi Gong has been practiced by Taoist and Buddhist monks, Confusion scholars, martial arts practitioners and many of the Chinese people to improve physical and mental health and attain energy, knowledge and spiritual wisdom.

The Yuan Traditional Medicine College draws on the powerful teachings of Hua Gong developed by Master Zhixing Wang. This style of Qi Gong focuses on health cultivation and spiritual development. Hua means transformation, integration and liberation. An important part of the practice is to integrate the Qi Gong principles into daily life.

John Tindall holds Qi Gong classes every month at the Yuan Clinic. He teaches the Hua Gong form of Qi Gong which is suitable for both absolute beginners and advanced students. The overall intention is to give all of those who attend powerful healing and instruction in simple techniques that can be practiced on a daily basis to promote personal development.

Classes begin at 8.30pm and end at 10.00pm. You do not need to book in advance.

Qi Gong Day & Ceremony

On alternate months we will be running a Qi Gong Day followed by  an overnight Ceremony in Hastings. These will be based upon the designs of The Sacred Fire Of Itzatchilatlan of Aurelio Tekpankali. Based around a central fire, with prayer, song and sacred rights from South & North America, we come together to celebrate life, to heal and to recognise our humanity in a simple way.

Lunch will be provided at the Qi Gong Day.
